Am I the only Coheed and Cambria fan here?

Im pretty sure Trivium are playing first because they dont have as many albums sales.

That is probably the most likely explaination. Trivium simply aint as "big" as Coheed over there. Therefore, they are first.
But it's still great exposure for the dudes because Slipknot is one of those bands that have "sell out gigs". You know.. loads of people who might not even be totally aware of Trivium will get to see first hand what they do and possibly become fans!

A lot of people dig that kinda thing (Anthemetic choruses) which probably explains part of their large fanbase *shrugs*
But yeah, if it aint your thing, that's cool. No band can please everybody. Not even Iron Maiden

February 10, 2009 10:19:35 AM UTC Post #17

If Iron Maiden doesnt please, you should stop listening to metal.

February 10, 2009 10:26:54 AM UTC Post #18

Exactly! haha
But I was talking in a obvious but broad sweep of all music. But yes in metal terms, those who dont like Maiden dont like metal really!

I find that I only really latch onto a handful of songs on each Coheed album, but I really enjoy the ones I do! It was a shame to see them get NO response at all during and after their set. They just came on, tuned up, played their songs, and left. No reaction at all.

It wasn't Coheed and Cambria's crowd. It's not the band's fault, but they don't belong on that tour. What you just described reminds me a lot of when I saw Job for a Cowboy play (between Evile and Megadeth) at last year's Gigantour, they got no reaction at all because it simply wasn't their crowd.
