QUOTE(Unrepentant @ Jan 3 2007, 11:23 PM) DUmb dumb? hes playing different notes on the video then in the actual recorded song. I have the actual solo tabbed out from the song but this solo sounds different. I don't know anymore. |

Agreed Maximus, ignoring the fact that how Matt plays it is obviously how to play the solo anyway. |

But he improvised it in the studio and relearned it later so it is different a bit becuase if you truly listen to the song while u play his solo in the vid it dosent match a bit. So thats why im saying what I am. Dude, all I did was slow the solo of the song down and tab it note-by-note and got that. You try it yourself and you will probably get the same thing. |

The way you tabbed it is also very inconsistent in the way of fingerings etc. Matt, being a skilled player, would also know that, because those two runs are obviously derived from a pentatonic scale. The way he demonstrated may have very minimal differences, but nothing completely different the way you seem to be explaining it. |

What key is Ascendancy the song in? becuase if matt is playing a pentatonic minor then I think it would either be D minor of F# minor but its not so I don't know. |
