I'm for Maiden. They've been around long enough to have that title considering all the great songs they've made. They may have had a few crap albums but there has always been something good about those albums (*Looks in James Hetfield's and Lars Ulrich's general direction*).
I love Trivium but they haven't got enough albums to be as great as Maiden were and are.

Althogh trivuim do make a close second, because metallica suck now... theres only so many songs u can write just using the E string...

i just feel it is a little bit early in trivium's career to be declaring them the best band in the world ever (which is essentially what you are asking me to do)
They have had two exceptional abums, and have proven themselves to be a truly awesome live act (anyone else catch them at the astoria?) but for me it all hangs on what they do to follow up ascendancy. to many groups have crumbled and fallen apart after failing to maintain their standards after releasing a truly exceptional album. whilst I severely doubt that this is the case - the roadrunner united record would seem to suggets that, far from crumbling, matt heafy has actually got even better since ascendancy - but i cannot be sure that they will not split or something.
given annother exceptional album or two, I will gladly declare my allegiance to the cause and support trivium as the best band in the world ever. untill then, they must remain second best to maiden. but only by a hair's bredth, mind...

Hahaha, youre on crack! Vinnie Paul is the best drummer on that list. Alot more creative then Mr. Doublebass form Trivium. Vinnies fucking solid, and hes got grooves to kill man. Trivium will never touch that until they stop being trendy. The drummings nothing new or inventive.
