Chart position of Shogun

Shogun charted at (in the UK) ... 17!!!
Thats fucking great for a metal band, especially one with such heavy vocals in parts!!
Death Magnetic is higher (naturally, it is Metallica ) but for Trivium to get into the top 20 with first week sales of Shogun is a good sign
The Crusade got to 8 or was it 7 on the first week but this is still a good result.
I personally cant be arsed with the other albums in the charts, but Well Done to Trivium anyways
One step closer to total world domination!

I don't know where the album placed here in the states. I just know its my number 1 for awhile!
Trivium seems to be hated stateside, and it sucks. It seems no one appreciates them here. *shrugs* which I know is not entirely true...but still. They are huge in the UK and aussie land. Us Yankees need to get our heads straight

It's because they are rivalling Metallica for their dominance
I've noticed there seems to be an "unofficial war" between Shogun VS Death Magnetic.
Go Australia!!!

Its not done as well as The Crusade has it? There didnt seem to be as much hype for this release and the forums didnt flood pretty much like when The Crusade was out. Ill buy it when im done buying everything else i want too, so i might have it by Christmas i aint too sure. I dont like the album much at all, but ill still show me support.

I think it's because when The Crusade came out, there was a lot of "hype" and advertising surrounding it. I mean, people do know Shogun is released..but the fact aint been "rammed home" like it was for The Crusade

i reckon it also has to do with the position trivium put themselves in...after ascendancy, everyone was exited and craving for more..they were pretty much the band everyone in metal heard about..and were extremely popular..but then, they released the crusade..and as much of a succes it was for some..it definitely divided the camp..and made certain people think twice about buying things trivium put out.
once the news of how much of an improvement this album is from other people, combining all previous work..i think it may end up selling even better.

i believe the new metallica album will help bring on the metalocalypse..
JUST because
after st. anger
all rock siezed basically
as for kids in school
all it was was yo nigga what it do
trivium + metallica if anything their unofficial album war should be an official alliance
because metallica made a comeback from rock bottom basically
from their 2003 album
and
the real fans just set aside in the dark
playing master of puppets album over and over again cringing from the defeat
well thats just me maybe
BUT STILL
its not fuckin cool.. i mean.. rap isnt even music
we need a world revalation
