On the LLTF video why is the old bassist playing if it was a song off Ascendency and Paolo was on that album? And why is it a different version, I can tell its not the album version because of the way Matt sings the chorus.

They wanted to get a video out. Paolo came in in the middle of the production of Ascendancy I believe.

From 15th November 2004
QUOTEThey have also announced the addition of bassist/vocalist Paolo Gregoletto (formerly of south Florida’s Metal Militia) as the newest member of the Trivium family. "Paolo not only brings his musical talents and skills to Trivium, he brings a determined, can-do attitude and a positive energy that fits extremely well with who we are, what we are about and what we like to do."
and the video recorded for LLTF was originally intended for Ember To Inferno? While Trivium were endorsed by Peavey
Funny how the video was released (online anyway) 6months after recording? hm

I hate this video and the version of the song.

they said they were actually playing it,and when they finished, they realized that the video version was faster than the original recording,so they decided to record the song again so that they would sound similar.

That doesn't matter really.
The bassist is Brent, he played bass with them for a while and eventually left before Ascendancy to continue with school, he's still friends with the band and came to the studio while Ninju and myself were there to listen to a few tracks. Nice guy.
The video was recorded after ETI, but before Ascendancy (hence the different sound to the chorus) and helped seal the deal on Trivium signing with RoadRunner.
