Could Trivium be The next maiden or priest?

QUOTE(ToneGod101)I don't agree that everyone looks at them as just another metal band.......they are the new old metal man.....look at their elements.....matt's heavily influenced on old metal while corey is influenced on neo-classical stuff....excellent combination.....Travis's drumming is unreal to me....lots of double bass, massive amounts of cymbal smashing...........they all fit together like a puzzle.....like alot of you have said....they sound like.....TRIVIUM...
ahem, lets not forget the wonderfully sexy and talented Paolo now thankies to you.

the band most people relate to trivium is metallica
but their influence is from metallica, megadeth etc. along with some death metal and todays 'metal' (KSE, machine head) along with some of their own style they make TRIVIUM!!
they are original!
i doubt they will be mainstream ever........but you never know- dying in you arms has the potential to be mainstream if they were big enoguh now.
i really doubt the crusdae will reach number one but it will certainly get pretty high up
the fact is..........so long as matt screams they wont hit real mainstrem, but will get big in the world of metal
SO KEEP SCREAMING MATT!!!!

Amen! 8) All true. I wouldn't mind if Trivium went mainstream in the sense that there music is attracting loads of people and bringing metal back to the masses. I know these dudes will always stay true to themselves. 8)

I think the idea of being "next Iron maiden" or "Priest" or Metallica is not original...Trivium will be Trivium in the future...
