Im HUGE on Paul gilbert lately, and I just had to try learning this song. Thats what this recoridng was meant as. Learning this fantastic song.
But in general, do comment on the tone, and playing (even though the playing is not good, you can tell i was "learning on the go). But feel free to share in the love of PG's music.

i liked it. you went for a more metal tone approach for the song, i wish it would had a little more twang myself. but your playing was pretty good for learning on the go. curse of the castle dragon is my 2nd fav off that album. you should do straight through the telephon. or go old school scarified. i love playing that song.!!!! gilbert is the man!! and is a good web designer!

The playing was good, especially for "learning on the go". It wasn't perfect, but it was still good
The tone was decent, not as bright as I'd hoped/expected though.

Glad you enjoyed the cover. I agree on the tone, a brighter tone would have been better, with some mroe twang. as you mentioned. But i just had my guitar and amp set up as i sue it in jams. lots of mids, and reasonable presence and resonance. But alot of times jam/live tone isnt as bright on recording as it is in a jam/live situation.
either way im glad you enjoyed the cover!
