QUOTEQuality technical metal connoisseurs and open-minded music-lovers in general will be delighted to hear that Florida’s legendary CYNIC have returned to creative power after a successful European re-union tour in the summer of 2007 and will soon be recording a new album, their second after 1993’s genre-shattering “Focus” debut. |

So 'Traced In Air' is the new album title huh? It fits the Cynic vibe. |

The new song they played live last year was really good. No death metal vocals at all and Paul was using a noticeably 'cleaner' voice to sing with instead of relying on his vocoder, I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the new album. |

Heck, you dont need to have death vocals to be technical death. |

I don't really see Cynic as TDM, just seems more Progressive metal to me. I guess it's got elements of both. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with. |
