He's the boss there I think.
Anyway, he's really good producer and a really nice guy!

He really should tour again, even if it's just a one-off set at Wacken or somewhere! I'd love it if he did a set of Moontower, Nightingale and Edge of Sanity stuff - or even 'just' doing "Crimson"...
He's done so many cool little one-off things like Odyssey and the absolutely hilarious Steel single with the Opeth guys too, it's crazy that he's so overlooked...

Dan Swano is pretty overrated in my opinion. Just about every project he is involved in that has generated a certain level of hype hasn't really lived up to that level of expectation in my eyes.

I didn't even know that he had released albums actually. But I've heard him play in the store, and he's damn good, and I can brag about that he played on my guitar just before I bought it ^^

After looking at his forum over on Ultimatemetal it appears to be more the case that he was kicked out of Bloodbath by the Katatonia lads than that he left...
I think Bloodbath are dead in the water now tbh, it looks like they've had no real luck with finding a singer, if Mikael can't play with them due to Opeth commitments then it's likely Axenrot won't have the time to drum for them either and now they have to find a replacement for Swano! OK good guitarists are pretty much ten-a-penny in Sweden but IMO most of Bloodbath's best songs were written by Swano...

Dan wrote a statement about his firing from Bloodbath, I believe on Bloodbath's own forum although I got it from his own forum on Ultimatemetal:

I have toyed with the idea to make a new album,
using my own name, and revisit the
style of those albums...oh yes...
what is a bit funny is that I actually wanted
to write a bit more brutal songs for
Bloodbath the next time.
I got inspired by working with the Coldworker
album and the urge to write some complex,
fast fucken brutal death came creeping back.
(I have not always written TRL-Death Metal u know..
Infestdead and some of the early E.O.S.
material is kind of brutal, isn´t it???)
Anyway. I just wanted to clearify
that I was NOT trying to pussify Bloodbath
and therefore got kicked out...
where this rumour came from and how the guys
(without asking) just decided that I was on a
different level musically..remains a mystery.
I wish the guys all the best and hope they ask

Firing him by email seems pretty shitty to me, especially when you consider the shared history and (supposed) friendship between all the guys in the band...
