Posts: 1998 Member #: 11,430 Joined: 09/16/2009	I know virtually nothing about death metal (less so than the other genres of metal, if that's possible ) but I do love a bit of Deicide. I can't listen to the whole of The Stench of Redemption, but Homage for Satan, Walk with the devil......and Death to Jesus (espeically death to jesus! ) I love, along with stuff like kill the christian and scars of the crucifix (the song). I really should try get into dm, but I've never got round to it, I guess thats probably because I tend to hate the vocals, and I don't know where to start.... I guess I'll have to check out death and morbid angel at least.

I've been into melodeath for a few years but never really listened to the other types of death metal until recently this year. I mainly listen to technical/progressive death metal now though. Pretty much everything Mattie listed but you did forgot 2 from your list Mattie. Opeth! Atheist!

If there is, then i'd be willing to talk about it. (Im not trying to come off big headed here, it just seems that most people on this forum list a bunch of bands/songs and don't explain their reasoning behind them, expect from the small minority, so i might as well do the same). Anyway, my favourite Death Metal bands would be Theory in Practice, Martyr, Immolation, Quo Vadis, Unmoored, Possessed, Insision and Gorod. My lastfm has a few more DM bands i really enjoy: http://www.last.fm/user/MattMoses/
