so i have the ascendancy cd that was orginally released, and the re-release of it that came with the bonus dvd. and i have the original one on my computer and the re-release i keep in my car. i just got done listening to Like Light To Flies off the re-release, and then i listened to it on my computer (off the original), and the solos sound different. How is this? Did they re-record the special edition of Ascendancy? |

I know on the Headbanger's Ball Vol.2 cd the version of "Like Light To Flies" is the demo version which is the same version they use in the video. But I could be wrong. |

i'm pretty sure they are the same. The one that is different is prolly the demo version of the song. That got released on some compilation and it's also on their LLTF video. |

Theres TECHNICALLY 3 audios, I mean, there's the demo, there's the video version, and then Ascendancy version |

I'm sure they're not different, just the demo has a "rawer" quality to it.. |

It was re-recorded for Ascendancy. with Paolo on bass instead of Brent, and I believe it's played faster because Trivium always played it faster live. |
