QUOTE(cainXcore)Theres TECHNICALLY 3 audios, I mean, there's the demo, there's the video version, and then Ascendancy version
I prefer the demo version for some reason

QUOTE(Asphyxiated.)QUOTE(Mike)It was re-recorded for Ascendancy. with Paolo on bass instead of Brent, and I believe it's played faster because Trivium always played it faster live.
They play everything faster live! It pwns!
still not sure how they managed to get away with playing it as fast as they did when i saw them in March, i was in the crowd completely agahast at the speed they were doing solid downstrokes.

also, on the version they have on the trivium website for download, it has diff vocals , theyre higher when he sings normally, on the Ascendancy version they are lower. and much better imo...
this makes me wonder though, if Trivium play most there songs faster live, why not record them at the same speed they wud play them live.... its like when i saw the Rock AM version of DETONATION, it was amazing, and so is the album version, but its slower.... and i prefere the live version cos its sped up.

The way I look at it:
On albums you can sacrifice SOME speed to make sure it is perfect, but in a live situation, you play it faster because of adrenaline and to make the gig more intense, and it doesnt matter if a note or two is off (in my opinion)

Yeh, i agree with the adrenaline, the band would play it faster, just wondering if people prefered the faster version of Detonation as opsed to the slower album version, i know i do

There are in fact two different versions
you can hear it clearly
i thas a different sound
vocasl sound a bit different ( especially the cleanvocals)
an the mutes after the solo are different(on drum then)
In one version he mutes the crash twice, in the other only once and one time he justs let it bleed out.
I hope this is making any sense to you guitarboys out there ( I know drummers get what I mean)
