Does Trivium allow taping of concerts?

Hi guys!
I just wanted to know if Trivium allows taping of concerts for private use and trading them in exchange for other bootlegs.
And maybe give me a source where it is written or something. Thank you!

They will take it away from you. Hide it, and once you're in, go to the bathroom and organize yourself so you only have to press REC when you want to tape

Nearly everyone took their cameras and managed to use them fine. I was gutted.
So, yeah, the search at Wemberly was not thorough!

I am planning to take a 100£ DAT with me!!!! any clue how do their react to that???

Live versions are never the same compared to the ones on the album.
And recording is prohibited from the venue's side, 95+% of the bands are OK with people taping them

I think that it is entirely up to the band whether to allow taping or not. But, I think that all bands shouls allow taking pictures.
Taping the band at the gig is almost the same as stealing the songs, if you really want them - go and buy (or download for free from pirate sites) the album.

Good trick: Stick your MD or DAT in your underpants... back pack in front of you when bouncer checks it.... that has always been working for me!!!! It Even went through the tightest security check ever!!!

That's the view everyone has, but some bands (and mainly their managers) are against it (e.g. Amon Amarth), and there is nothing you can do against it. On the other hand, there are bands like Mastodon, which you can e-mail and they'll give you official permission to tape them...

I don't see how a videotape of a concert can hurt the band... It gives them publicity, makes people want to go see them live more because of their onstage energy. The only way it could was if the band was to be releasing their own live DVD, but I doubt a poorly recorded vidcam version can be any way as good as an official DVD, and fans that are diehard enough to want a bootleg of the concert will be going out to buy the official DVD anyway!
