Download Festival
September 16, 2009 1:57:37 AM UTC Post #1

OK, I know a lot of people here prefer the more metal festivals such as Bloodstock, but this is the Trivium forum afterall so I think this needed to be mentioned:
The first bands to be announced are The Offspring, Lost Prophets, Judas Priest, and fucking HIM.

Way to go to get people interested Download!
The main announcement is tomorrow so I'm still hoping for ratm, so I can go for the day - like fuck I'll be going to the whole thing if they're the kind of bands on this year.
Opinions/download-bashing?

Truth.

And, inexplicably, the quality of the lineup seems to be inversely proportional to the cost of tickets.

Nothing will ever beat Metallica at Download , after something like that, its just not interesting anymore.

I'm hoping they play this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, they've announced European tour-dates starting in May.

The only thing I've noticed in this thread so far is.. Judas Priest!

February 04, 2008 6:29:45 PM UTC Post #9

Are these rumours or are they officially comfirmed?

I don't see what's so surprising. I don't remember ever seeing a lineup for the Download festival which was impressive in any way. As nice as it is to see Judas Priest on the list, I'm sure they tour enough that it won't be difficult to catch them in better company sometime in the near future.
