I know that Matt and Corey used a 5150 for thr rhythms for Ascendancy and a Dual Recto for the leads.Mesa's are fucking great man,but too expensive for my blood.

Mesa's have a good crunchy feel and a great lead tone. If played with properly. My heart is set on either a 5150 or a 6505 though. Although Mesa's are extraordinarily versitile I like the difference in tone from the Peavey line. It's a matter of preference. Just go play one.
