QUOTE(Sewn Shut Eyes)QUOTE(Ripper) I think a lot of the people who go on about him have watched the "Roadrunner United" DVD a few too many times.

My former drummer found it hilarious that, despite giving the demonstration about his blast beats, he has a trigger on his snare anyway.
Oh the irony . . .
That is pretty funny actually lol

If we're not talking about just metal drummers, I'd say Joe Blanks.

QUOTE(Dance of death)How far would everone agree with the statement "Metal drumming is mostly feet"?
Someone said that the other day to me, not in an offensive way and I couldn't really comment because I know next to nothing about drumming.
It never was, it is now. And it sucks for it.
Theres sill many creaive, musical drummers, hard tofind, but they exist.

QUOTE(Carnage)QUOTE(The Prof)He's not below average, that describes the likes of Lars Ulrich not Mike
Mike doesn't do anything spectacular but his brutality and the sheer tightness of his playing makes him the perfect drummer for Suffocation. Any extra embellishments to their stuff would take away from their sound, he understands that sometimes the best results come from what you don't play as much as what you do.
well, i dont think Suffocation is anything out of this world either...least good band i saw when i saw them with Cryptopsy, Vader and Decapitated. And i guess the fact im not a fan of Suffocation adds to my decision, lol.
Vader and Decapitated

I missed a free vader gig by showing up in poland a week late my cousin tomek said he would ahve taken me to see them f i came a week earlier, i was PIIIIIIIIIIIISED. I would ahve killed to see vader
