same here - im listening to it for the fourth time today...fucking rox - very heavy and raw shit!

The review seems positive for the most part but i'm not agreeing with the reviewer at all. While Death Angel had 1 or 2 good albums, most notably Act III, I don't think they can write songs nearly as good as Trivium. Trivium deserves more credit than this. We're gonna be hearing a lot of bay area band comparisons (Testament/Exodus/Forbidden etc.) but the only bay area band that wrote music of similar quality to Trivium is Metallica and maybe Megadeth. The Crusade is kinda like the album that Metallica should have put out after And Justice For All. I've listened to the album dozens of times and it's just a total masterpiece!

I agree on the most part... but I don't think Matts singing is ghey at all. :
I agree the singing is catchy, but that's exactly why I like that aspect of Trivium.
It's got that catchy snazzy shizz like Mad Capsule Markets - Scary without going as far as drilling into your skull and having you sing it every 5 minutes without the song even being within earshot.

Trivium wouldn't rule as much without the singing parts.
But hell... they said that about the lack of screaming XD
But I think The Crusade takes Asendancy, tells it to shut the fuck up, beats it out of it's whey-up-high spot on Asension and generally pile drives it into the 9 hells. : 3
