Paolo stepped it up hardcore this album I'd say. He didn't have much influence on Ascendancy so it's nice to hear him run with his spot in the band. |

Yeah...in a great band all the members have to express themselves...and in "The Crusade" we can hear Paolo's influence. |

So let's do an old style album with Paolo's influence now. |

You can say that it doesn't touch some other extreme bass players, but when you actually play bass on distortion/overdrive with a wah pedal, it is more difficult to control then on a guitar. The wavelengths and frequencies are way different on the bass, but with the new technology and such, Paolo's solo sounded better because he had pedals designed for the bass. Compare it to Cliff Burton, even though what he was playing was way badass, he used pedals that he had to tweak the settings of those pedals to even handle his Rickenbacker or his Araya Pro, because he used pedals meant for guitar. Just goes to show how dedicated he was to his music. |

QUOTE(Quinque Ligamen Proeliator @ Nov 10 2007, 02:55 AM) Same here, he is badass at five finger teqhnique, but I wish they would have shown more of him in the video because it barely gives you little glimpses of him playing the solo. |

Nah they only show him a little bit, but I heard there is a live video of the song and it shows him almost the whole time he's playin the solo |
