Dundee United just signed Nicky Weaver until January. Remember him?

Aye, he's a decent-ish keeper.
I'm really, REALLY looking forward to the Boro game tonight. Sheffield United are a good team, but (obviously) I'm hoping for a home win to kick start the season.

Arsenal Vs Celtic in Champions League qualifier

Ouch. Bad draw for both teams, I think. It's a harder game than Arsenal would have wanted, and Celtic are going to lose.

Aye, it's not good. It's not bad either though. Sheffield United are going to be challenging for the title this season, so a draw on the opening day isn't a bad result.
I was very happy with a couple of Boro players performances, Adam Johnson played very well (he's going to excel in the Championship) and I was impressed with Mark Yeates' debut too.

Arsenal have struggled against players like Scott Brown and Scott McDonald in the past few seasons. Remember Stoke at the Brittania? Celtic Park has an atmosphere twice that on a European night. When Arsenal have played against teams who get in their faces and intimidate their teenagers they fall apart i.e. Stoke, Hull, Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Sunderland, Fulham. Also note that Celtic have beaten Manchester United and AC Milan in at Celtic Park in the last few seasons.
I don't actually think Celtic will win, but it could be closer than all you English people are expecting.

The whole point of my post was that it'll be a close match.. especially at Celtic Park. Though honestly, Arsenal are capable of ripping the shit out of Celtic.

No, I hate wankers who bring politics into sport. Its 11 men against 11 men, thats it. If you want to be a fascist, or wear an orange sash, do it in your own time. These clubs affiliated with stupid shit like this, militant firms using the vaguely apparent veil of football to disguise the fact they have pent up sadomaschistic homosexual aggression which they need a release for, can fuck off for all I care. Panathanaikos wear a shamrock as well, and I really wouldnt mind if they got beat by a Mykynos XI.
