What do you think of the Crate Palomino V50?

Yes, an overdrive pedal isn't really meant to be run in the effects loop. Try going with your guitar into the TS9 and then out into the amp. The ISP decimator should stay where is it, in the loop. Try not to "make" a tone using the TS9, try to just "fatten" or "thicken" up your tone with it, because that is what most people use it for (or for adding more gain during leads).

QUOTE(m1tsu @ Mar 31 2007, 02:56 AM) I need an opinion. I have a Mesa Triple Rectifier solo head and a 4x12 Mesa traditional rectifier cab and I just bought a ISP decimator and an TS9 Ibanez tube screamer. when I turn on the tube screamer it turns my distortion into a more muffled sound than I thought I would have gotten... I have the two pedals running through my fx-loop and it seems to be fine but maybe I had my hopes set too high... not sure if it's supposed to be muffled, if I have it setup up wrong or maybe a defective pedal... even with the pedal's tone knob cranked all the way to 5o'clock it still sounds muffled... the natural distortion on my amp sounds better... unless trivium only uses that pedal for only a couple parts in their songs i'm kinda baffled.. I think I might return the pedal but I need someones opinion thanks
Normally you shoudlrun the dist pedal guitar > pedal > amp. not in the effects loop :| At least thats how I owuld do it. Also, most people use TS's as boosts on solos or leads, rather then all around. other guys do this though, KSE have Digitechs as their "boost" pedal, and have them on all the time to clean up the mesas rather large bottom end.

Fank you!

I didn't slate it, but I'd recommend a noise gate and tube screamer.

Yeah, the stock distortion on that amp is horrifying at higher volumes. Like Lentz said... get a noise gate and a tube screamer and you will be serenading the wombs of many women
