Shit, just a minute - how old were the attackers? Apparently no-one under 18 in this country gets a life sentence - according to the cps' site under 18's get 12 years.
Which isn't too bad when a life-sentence has a minimum of 15 years.

The oldest one was 17.

Anything less then life for those scum is an insult to society!

They need to be given life sentences. Too many youngsters are getting killed and the attackers are sometimes getting off lightly. We need to drill into people's brain the fact that these severe and vicious crimes wont be handled lightly and will lead to maximum sentences. A light sentence just makes the justice system look like a joke and it's likely they might offend again just to mock the system that has let them back out.
Why cant we have capital punishment in this country? A life for a life I say!

I'd rather die than be in prison for 15 years, regardless of how nice the prison is.
