Marshall AVT-150's are pretty nice amps, just make sure you get a noise gate to go with it.

QUOTE(Tarzan)Hmmm...So Anything under 2000? Engl Powerball it is. And If not that then a 5150, and if not that a cube 60. Also, you don't need a Half Stack Tube combos have more than enough volume to gig with. Don't get an AVT by the way, they suck.Who said I wanted to gig with? I want it to deafen my mother

QUOTE(Tarzan)If You're not professional or Massive Hobby guitarist it's just stupid to get a half stack. I'm guessing you're new to guitar and want a half stack because it looks cool. Stick with a Microcube mate.New to guitar bahahaha. i've been playing long enough to get one lets just say that

How long you've played doesnt factor in. DO you NEED a halfstack?
Buy a 5150/6505 combo. Its 60 watts, tube driven, comes with a 2x12. Its a heavey fucker (80-90lbs) but it will give you mean ass tone ( I swear by Peavey), it can be quiet when ti needs to be, and when you need it, its more then enough to gig with.

They are quiete big, 60 watt would get killed.

1.) If the palces are that big, you'll need a PA to sound good anyways.
2.) Clearly you've never played a stack. 60 watts of tube is fucking LOUD. If you really need to get out more, you can always hook up the combo into a 4x12. So now you're twice as big sounding. Trust me, 60 watts is alot.
3.) If you really want a half stack, 5150/6505 head with a 4x12 (preferably something other then the matching peavey cab, as its actually quite thin sounding. You'll want something a little more bass heavey, with mid rangey textures)

No problem, i just wasnt sure what you needed a half stack for so I suggested the combo first.
