Sam is terrible at improvising, hence his "betcha cant play this" being sloppy as fuck. on record Sam spends hour after hour writing and rehearsing his solos. Herman is a much better improvisor, all his solos on the last two DF albums were improvised

A bad recording or PA doesn't change the pitch of the notes. That was one of the most sloppy pieces of live guitar playing I've ever seen. I was talking about the overall badness of the recording.

Posts: 27 Member #: 11,756 Joined: 09/16/2009	Whoever blamed Hermans "sweep" on bad recording ... I hope you're right and he does actually play better than this because in this video and a live video I've seen, his guitar sounds like a jammed pencil sharpener.

They're funny as fuck too. Like in the big interview in this months total guitar with Matt and Corey and Kirk Hammett etc. It's a hilarious read.

Talking about wanking and beer is ok for few questions, but for the whole fucking interview? That ain't right.

Maybe, but you can clearly hear both guitars horribly out of tune with each other.
