what are some good songs by megadeth, metallica etc to learn for influencial reasons so you can inherit into own material? |

Even if they get their old sound back, the songwriting lately has been rubbish. Even with the tone on St. Anger you could probably write a decent album (even with the biscuit tin drums) - but Metallica didn't. In fact the album was a joke...! It will be a nice suprise if Metallica pull something out the bag - but I'm not expecting anything. |

if you're just starting guitar then a great song to learn is 'seek and destroy' by metallica, the intro will help you understand the frets and help your timing n all |

prolly something like battery it'll get your gallop picking going and its got killer solo's in it also something like creeping death or sanitarium great songs to learn |
