I like Kirisute Gomen A LOT!, and I like Into The Mouth of Hell We March A LOT also. I'm thinking that the new album is going to be a massive explosion in my ears when i get it. So fucking good!

My only problem with this song is the guitar solo. After the last line "into the mouth of hell we march" then into the "MARCH!" scream is unnecessary to me. I would have been happier if the song ended right their, or perhaps a slightly less fast solo into that final verse.

I'll admit, im new here, and i have always had nearly ZERO respect for this band, Trivium. Ive filed them under "FALSE mETAL", like many do.
But after hearing "Into The Mouth Of Hell We March", i kinda liked what i was hearing. The singer does sound like hes influenced by James Hetfield of MetallicA, but this time, it doesnt sound like hes despretly trying so hard. The song actually doesnt sound that bad.
And trust me, i come from the community of metal listeners that deems this band as complete and utter POSERS. But... i think for myself, and try to keep an open mind.
If Trivium made a good album, why should i shut it out, that would be nonsense, and not about being true or real. Now im will'n to give this band a shot....when it comes to metal....my standards are VERY VERY high , and up until now, stuff Trivium has come out with has been laughable to me....but im willing to give this band an actual HONEST chance.
So....this album SHOGUN is coming out soon....and i think ill give it a fair listen. Perhaps with this album they will prove that they have matured and grown into a band that is truly inspired , and not putting on a pose. Hopefully this album will gain this band some respect.
They have talent, i just think they have put style way over substance. And perhaps...PERHAPS with "Shogun", they will display some genuine substance and deliver something thats truly memorable. But i dont know. Again...im willing to give it an honest listen.
I kinda liked what ive heard in the "Into The Mouth Of Hell...." song.

So. We'll see.

For what its worth, Good luck Trivium.

Glad to hear you are going to give them a chance! Much respect! Even if you end up not liking it, I'm just glad there are people like you that would give their new cd a fair listen!

Yeah, I think Shogun will kick the shit out of any other mainstream metal album this year. I suppose I would say that, though.
Glad you're going to give them a chance anyway Juko, don't just dismiss them as 'posers' and 'players of false metal' like so many idiots out there do. I also think I have very, very high standards when it comes to metal, and I think Trivium are a great modern metal band.

I'll second that! (for podgie being very knowledgeable in the world of what is metal)

I third that! If you want to consider "metalcore" as really "The New Wave Of American Heavy Metal", even though I think Metalcore is a completly laughable classification of Genre, but Trivium have to be at the forefront of that.
