Its a Respect issue

I'm 50/50 on leaks.
I remember one time I downloaded a leaked version of Cradle of Filth's Nyphetamine. The quality was so horrible that I actually went and bought the real album.
Also, because my computer does this weird thing where when I try to play actual cds in my computer, it goes all haywire. So I download them and play the REAL cd in my car, etc. and upload the tracks into my iPod.
I love buying cds of the bands I SUPPORT because I hope to meet them one day and have them sign my cd.
I plan to get Trivium to sign my Crusade cd when it comes out! :3

I feel listening to it is more respectful... cause eh...
Yeah... just my opinion here. XD but they wanted it out. It's not still being edited and shit, it's finished.
Roadrunner held out for the hype, really.

I personally think it should just be released, the songs are out, some people are evil in that theyll catch the leak and not pay for the album.
When really Trivium deserve every album sale they get, and all the sales they should have got, but didn't.

I'm listening to The Crusade because I feel they wanted it out there.
I have it pre ordered + the shirt.
I'm paying extra for it because I have to do the whole shitload of shipping costs.
AND I wanna know the songs inside out before I hear them live. Cause I plan to know every letter of every lyric =D
Just like I know every other Trivium song out right now. 8)

So yeah...
: D thats my Input.
But I can see how it would be equally respectful to wait. But that's more respecting the label than the band.
And as much as I respect Roadrunner for being the ownage of all record labels.
It'll always be Trivium > Roadrunner for me. : D
Hell, I'd sit through a bad Trivium... not so much listen to it repeatedly against my wish... but just the time before another comes out. I wouldn't just jump off and find a new Fave band over one screwy album. : D
But The Crusade owns Ascenancy and E2I.
And a bad Trivium album?
LIKE THAT'S EVER GONNA HAPPEN! HAHAHA. : DDDD
Am I insane? : D
*Slaps Wrist.* never going to happen. <3 I'm too much of an obsessed prick.
Trivium could squelch dog shit all over their strings for 2 and a half hours on some double CD 18 track album or something and I'd think it was the best shit ever. : P ....I know, I'm sad.

QUOTE(Madden)QUOTE(Maximus)It may be respectful to wait, but it's also regular that the album leaks and everyone downloads it. Most of us on this board are never going to meet and/or talk to Trivium, so to some of us, why does it matter? Should we have to respect people we'll never be in touch with. It seems silly to me to show respect to someone/something you don't even know personally.

I kinda see it as a respect thing for the band. I firstly downloaded Ascendancy, but I loved the CD so much I wanted to have the original copy of it. I also felt guilty about not paying my tributes (i.e. money for the CD and how much the CD sold) to the band. So, I bought Ascendancy
As for The Crusade, I'm aware of the leak, but I don't want to download it yet. I'm counting down the days until the album is released and really excited about it all, but I'm just not going to download it. I just think it's wrong to download the album before the release date. But that's only my opinion.
Well, thats my 2 cents 8)
