I buy CDs instead because if I buy a cd, the sale of the CD will count towards getting an album gold, platinum, or whatever. Buying the songs & the albums from the internet and into your iTunes doesn't do shit for the band.

mp3 sales do dd to the official sales charts, at least in the UK they do.
Anyway just because someone uses an mp3 player (like me) it doesn't mean that they buy their music online. I've never seen the point in buying mp3's when for virtually the same price I can get the CD and everything that comes with it.
Besides, I'm not going to buy what I can get for free.

DAMNIT. Its gone now...I came home from school and saw that there and almost bought it but I had band practice and didn't have the time. I get back from band practice and poof. Its gone.
Welp...looks like I'll be waiting for the 10th as planned.

i bought my iPod for when i was at school because having to change CDs was a pain in the ass,especially if you don't want to get caught listening to music in class. it's also weightless when you compare it to a CD player,so you can keep it in your pocket w/o worrying that it will fall out. i still buy CDs though; that's actually how i got the MP3s for my iPod. i also get CDs because as i have said before,people are starting to put things such as DVDs w/ the CD. it hasn't caused me grief yet.
