Cleaning up your technique. Practice in other words, like a motherfucker. I like to practice with a dirty tone, as it accentuates all the harmonic overtones, and rinigng out you try and eliminate, so when you put the gain on, you're still playing tight, and cleanly.

No. I mena a dirty tone. Because when you practice completely clean, you don't hear all the harmonic over tones that can be caused by subtle string ringing. By practicing with a little dirt on your tone , you hear these things, and take steps to remove them. Its kind of funny actually, how just a touch of distortion brings all the bad things out, but when you pile it on it manages to mask them.
But yeah, I practice with a slight dirty tone, its muc better. Makes you very clean.

Honestly Man. What the fuck does being new to guitar dictate what guitars are good for which price range. I wasn't telling the chap to get one, I was mearly telling Northern Wrath that the RR3 is a beast.
And half of your posts make no sense at all. "Jackson's are pants until you learn to solo?" WTF? Les paul V SG is determend by Weight? Get a clue before you fucking suggesting shit
/rant (very pissed off today)
To the Threadstarter, get whatever Ibanez you can with whatever money you can. From around 600 quid down Ibanez Rule.
I agree wth you here however. How far along on guitar you are doesn't dictate what guitars are good for your price range, but it does, or should, however, dictate how much money you are going to blow on a guitar. If you are new to guitar, you dont want to spend 500 on a guitar, and realize you don't want to play anymore. It doesn't dictate what price range you should buy in, but it should caution you. If you've played guitar for a couple of months, and already want a new guitar, you shouldn't get one. Spend a year with the guitar you want, and over the year, try out as many different models of guitars as you can. Then make your decision. I find when kids are young, their overall choic ein guitar is usually more influenced by what looks cool, and what they're idols play, rather then what feels good.
And yes, I would suggest Ibanez, because I am te resident IBanez whore. I need more Japtars.
