I never said anyone was trying to sing a certain way or trying to sound like someone else. I simply made an observation that Matt's vocals are somewhat reminiscent of how Hetfield's voice sounded back in the 80's.
People seem really defensive....so....umm...should I bother stating again, that I'm an actual fan of Trivium?

If anything, I'd say you were getting defensive here You're allowed to have an opinion and so is everyone else, nobody is saying that you're wrong.

Oh noo haha, I'm not uhh... attacking? anyone... I'm just a victim of Trivium Hate Abuse... I was just stating in my opinion that I have no idea where some people get the resemblance of Metallica and Trivium. I know they play Master of Puppets pretty damn good, other than that, I don't hear such a strong influence from metallica in Triviums guitars... I feel they accomplish their own sound uniquely.... If anything I hear more influences from Death, Martyr and Pantera... But I can barely even hear that... Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as an attacker...
