Lyrics and Matts Vocals

1. As i read the lyrics in the booklet i thought that the old ones were way better.. in some songs it seems that the lyrics were written in about 20 minutes.. this is way to short for a trivium album with high exspectations like "the crusade". What u think about it ?
2. The vocals... hmm...i mean the "flow" of the lyrics isn't really good.. Matt sings them like they were written without a base of the song playing in the background. It's like first there were the lyrics and afterwards Matt just makes them fit...doesn't care about the fact that the flow sucks....
again, what u think about it.. ????
For me, both facts are hard to understand... i do like the album but... i dont know it, its just sad that the lyrics and the flow sucks in a lot of the songs

First...I love "the crusade", the music, the lyrics, Matt new vocals etc etc...I only know that they wrote this album when they were on tour and they recorded in about two months, but I think that they made a really good work.
It could be a matter of time...

1. There's threads for the lyrics, vocal style, and reviews of the album.
2. This album is a step outside of Trivium's metalcore box and into a bit of a new area for them.
3. Welcome to the forum, but I'll be locking this thread because everything in it can and has been discussed in other threads.
