Machine Head - Battery

QUOTE(Mattie)I want to see more people cover Death, Morbid Angel, Suffocation and Obituary.
I do too. I'd like my band to cover Obituary, but none of them ever listened to bands like Obituary, so I don't care to much about it.
And on another note, Machine Head owns all you flamers.
/proclamation

I'm not so bothered about people covering Metallica songs, I just wish more people would cover different songs, how about "Dyers Eve" or "Fight Fire With Fire" for once! It's even worse with Slayer - I've lost count of the amount of bands I've seen do "Raining Blood"!
There's plenty of great Kreator covers floating around the place though by the likes of Napalm Death, Angel Corpse, Naglfar, Desaster...

I agree about the song selection, we used to jam on bits of Dyers Eve, but we stopped covering songs a year ago with our band, and moved strictly to originals. we throw a cover in here and there for good measure if we have extra time in a set.

QUOTE(Glenn)QUOTE(Ripper)Pleasure to Kill was released in 1986. They should have covered that.
Machine Head's faggot level wouldn't allow them to play Kreator.

I think the same about Dream Theater, why the fuck did they cover MoP... shit bands shouldnt be allowed to cover good songs.

Dream Theater covering Master Of Puppets with Barney from Napalm Death was actually pretty fucking awsome.
They only did Damage Inc., but yeah that was sick

Motorhead's cover of Whiplash has to be my favourite cover EVER.

Personally, I thought DT's MoP set was lame compared to their Dark Side Of The Moon set.

It's true, I didn't like their MoP cover at all, except Orion.
