No it isn't.

This is the way I put it:
Ascendancy was made with screaming vocals.
The Crusade was made with the more grunt-singing vocals.
Both sounds great to me.. but when they play Pull Harder, Lke Light To The Flies, Gunshot, etc. live, I'd like to hear him to play it the way it was made, with the screaming vocals. Singing the new songs is great and singing the old songs are fine, I could manage with it, but it'd be great to hear him scream the old songs.
Oh well. Matt still has as great voice so it's not like i'm going crazy over it(like a lot of other people)

Alot of people would agree with you and alot of people would disagree with you, like Aspyxiated said..

Dont waste your time here complaining how Trivium have got worse because Matt doesnt scream his vocals anymore. That topic (in my eyes) was exauhsted a long time ago.

I'm not here to say I could do better, I'm here to say they got worse, this isn't a "whos better then who" forum

QUOTE(Suffocating Sight @ Apr 24 2007, 11:55 PM) I like them both equally, somtimes I wanna listen to the crusade then I wanna hear somthing heavier (not saying the crusade isnt heavy but the screaming vocals make it sound heavier to me) Ill listen to acsendancy.
but those two albums and the demo are probably the ONLY really heavy stuff we will get to hear from them ever.

watch this I think this was a kickass perfomance, I donno why Matt said he couldn't sing but he sang the clean parts like on the album it was awsome, but when I watched the live in melkweg video he sang whery shiti the clean parts
Sorry way off topic but.. I think it's funny how he used to play with his guitar so high up haha... it's funny because he looks almost exactly like my little brother when his hair was so short... anyways yeah I like screaming and singing tho a mixture of both would be best... and I don't think he sounds like james hetfield at all.. more of like a pissed off asian... OHH YEAH ASIAN PRIDE BUDDY. jk his vocals now are cool I love all their cds... I like how he sings the end of detonation too.. the transfer from thrashed singing to clean singing is awesome... tho live at the show I went to in sioux falls when he sang some parts of whatever song it was, it sounded like punk singing... strange....
