Matt's vocals are one of the aspects of the new album im looking forward to hearing the most, the very brief sound clip of Matt demoing a new song I saw through TriviumWorld sounded fucking brutal.

I'd probably say I prefer the screaming, but that may just be because Ascendancy was the first Trivium album I listened to and therefore my favourite. Having said that, I think the vocal style on The Crusade fits much better than screaming would have done on the album as a whole, and the cleaner vocals are very enjoyable and can still be just as weighty as the screams. I'm definitely very excited to hear the vocals on the new album, as the screams will be returning but (from what I have heard) bigger and better than before...

matt's "thrash" vocals are awesome and i am a huge fan of them, but i also think that his screams on ascendancy and ETI were awesome and when songs from those albums are played live they should be screamed, even if that means corey doing the vocals for those songs.

I prefer the cleaner stuff and thinks it works well on some Ascendancy songs like Drowned and Torn Asunder, Suffocating Sight and Like Light to the Flies.
A nice mix (say 80/20 in favour of the cleaner sound) would be much to my liking

drowned and torn asunder needs to be screamed. that uvtv performance is flawless
suffocating site is ok with the "thrash" vocals, but the vocals on the breakdown need to be screamed....so powerful
like light to flies is ok how they play it now. screaming is always better though.

and btw, whats with that little "go" in entrance? i laugh everytime i hear it

Why is the go part funny I think it goes well.
