I like the gibson old white and gold trimmed guitar but the razorback white and gold trimmed is way better.

DEANS!

I like all of Matts guitar and Corey from the Deans to the Jackson to Matts Lez Pauls but Matt looks alot more metal these days unless you are talking about the really old skool matt when he had his long hair back in like 2001-2002? So i'd have to go for now or the old skool long haired Matt.

Voted Deans just for the look.

Goin against the grain here... Old School Gibsons for Matt... The solo part in the Like Light To The Flies video just clinches it for me.

I like both. But the Deans they are using look awesome, and they obviously enjoy playing them.

OK, I'm going to go ahead and be one of the few who say differently.
I think Matt looks better with his new Dean, and same with Corey. I never really liked Les Pauls. :/

QUOTE(Planeshift @ Aug 3 2006, 02:31 AM) Matt with his Gibsons and Corey with his Jacksons, EASILY. They looked so much better, and it was like THEIR guitars, not Dimes.
I don't like the Dime Deans at all. I kind of like Corey's razorback V because it suits him more than the normal Dime Razorbacks. That shape has this tie with dime in my mind and whenever I see someone else playing one I think dime-sheep.
was just reading old topics and stuff but i found it funny that this guy said this and now owns a razorback

QUOTE(Party Animal @ Aug 2 2006, 03:14 PM) Deans definitely, Trivium sound is heavier than on Ascendancy because of it.
I wouldn't say TC is heavier than Ascendancy at all . . . but that's IMO.
Anyway, forgetting about looks and shit like that, on pure tone, Gibson and Jackson, definitely. Not only because they were different guitars with different pups did they give Matt and Corey a more distinct sound from each other, but the individual tone they both had was way better. I love the Jackson KV2, i'm getting it for my birthday, the alder and ebony makes for a great tone, and as for the GLP . . . you can't beat that guitar with EMGs put in. Using the Deans (before they changed pickups) and looking at some of those Guitar World lessons on youtube it's like both guitarists tone is exactly the same with no variation. At least they dumped the Dimebucker though, that pickup is way to trebly I think.
