QUOTE(Fugue @ May 18 2008, 09:45 PM) Its all about the old-school rap atm with me - A Tribe Called Quest are brilliant, as are Jurassic Five. I'm also listening to quite a bit of early N.W.A - its 'gangsta' rap still kind of within the confines of the old-skool so the raps are actually good and slightly comedic, instead of the whole shitty 'yo I've been shot 9 times' bs, so that's cool. And comedy AK-47 sounds always go down well with me
I'm all for Old School Hip-Hop, in not a big fan of N.W.A though.. A Tribe Called Quest and Jurassic 5 are great.
Cypress Hill are the bomb too, they've produced some of the best albums to smoke to ever haha.

I've always been a fan of the Misfits too. For me, the most enjoyable punk band..

I used to listen to a lot of rock/pop-punk music, but i don't at all any more really... I found that i can get my escape from metal, from the folkier sides of folk meta

I like a bit of the old school hip hop as well, my biggest love outside metal would be ambient/dark ambient though... stuff like Northaunt, Jääportit and Darkspace
Other than that I listen to classical music quite a bit, and my favourite composer would be Dvorak.

Classical wins! I downloaded some Holst the other day.

Well most of NWA's stuff that I've heard is a bit shite, so that's understandable! There's just a few tracks I love.
And I really need to get some Cypress Hill, I only have a few individual tracks for some reason.

I would strongly recommend getting their first two albums (Cypress Hill and Black Sunday) if you're after old school sounding stuff.
III: Temples of Boom and Stoned Raiders are another two of my favourites.
