My first thoughts on Shogun so far

The guitar work is kinda cool, and some of the vocals were interesting, but i found the songs this album to be kinda "so so", kinda forgettable.
Especially when the guy starts singing the chorus's. They arent bad songs, some sound pretty tight, like "Into The Mouth Of Hell We March"
But i just dont dig the hardcore yelping. But as music, they are decently made songs, and ill give them some more listens. but what i heard wasnt all that special.
Certainly nothing thats going to change much people's minds on a grand scale. They are still going to be viewed as a scene metalcore band picking up on trends and still not able to manage to create anything truly unique or moving or all that memorable.
Stuff like this is the reason why Sweden is still the metal capital of the world, and NOT the USA.
Im still not really impressed by this band. I think they grew up a bit after the complete onslaught of utter disrespect they get from the metal community. But its still more style over any real substance. These guys grew up in well-to-do house holds, they dont got the ingredients in them to even dish out a truly inspired album becouse they have never walked the walk. And many people know this and think of them as just posers.
I give them some credit, but i really cant take them or their music seriously.

Well thats what i think so far. I'll go over all the songs again and give it some time and maybe follow up what i think.
That is if the kids on here even care, since i might of hurt someones feelings.
oh well, get over it bitch

Since when do you need to have grown up piss poor or been abused to create a quality metal album?

And why can't he take them seriously?
They're hardly AC or Weird Al

This review is a joke. In order to give a decent review, one most stand unbiased. The guy listened to the album already having shitty expectations. You see...or in this case HEAR what you want to to see/hear. Its simply how our mind works, and this guy went into the album with a predetermined mindset.
Its a shame really. He doesn't know talent, skill or plan good music when he hears it.
*sad face*

Yeah. All reviews of the album go in there, to prevent us having a thread for evey single review.
