QUOTE(Jaysin)If your parents treaet you like shit, respond in kind.
Respect is not a one way street.
If you're cared for, you shouldn't feel obligated to help them, it should happen naturally out of your own free will.
I said the exact same thing 9 days earlier than you.
Whoever said all members were equal?

i have 3 bank accounts...
1 account is where i get payed... i take £50 out every week to pay for rent to my parents
2nd account is a savings account
3rd account is where i put 30% of my wages left over, and intend to give it all to my parents when i hit 21, as a way to thank them for helping me become what i am, and to pay back for allthe money i stole/took/borrowed etc... i have about 4 and a half grand in there at the mo, and dont intend to keep any for myself.

alot of my friends say i get a shit deal.... i think my parents have showen me how hard it is to lead an adult life, and i now know i'm ready for it, and could move out any time i want.

I doubt your parents would take that money, no real parent would.

you know, i feel the same... and a part of me hopes they will reject it i just want some small way to show my gratitude. even if they dont accept it, i hope it shows them that im greatful for all they did.

if they dont accept it, im at least sending them to egypt for a holiday.... they've only been once, but they loved it, and cant afford to go again.

Dont just give them the money straight up... buy them something with it. Send them on like the most amazing cruise, or something. That way, its paid for, you in theory give them the money, they get a break ...everyone is happy.

I know I would support my parents, but only when I know I am earning enough to support them properly. Right now, My Mom rings me up each week asking me to give her £300 a month. And when i say i can't, she flips.
Sometimes things are harder than your parents realize
