I prefer Onset Of Putrefaction, and I wouldn't say that they are underrated.

I wouldn't say they're underrated anymore since they have toured and more people know about them now.

QUOTE(Carnage)QUOTE(The Leper Affinity)It pains me that nobody has even mentioned Spawn of Possession in a topic like this. http://www.myspace.com/spawnofpossession amazing band I highly suggest.why would we mention Spawn of Possession in a Necrophagist thread? they dont have anything to do with eachother except similar styles
ppl were recomending tech death bands, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and recomend the one which I personally think is the best.

Just because they've toured doesn't mean they're well known, there was only about 30 people there when I saw them!

And sadly they put on an awful live show. They play goos songs, and play them very well. Muhammed, and the rest of the band is still right on when it comes to all the riffs and solos, but the sound quality was absolutely horrible. You couldnt hear the vocals, or any of the guitar parts. All that was autible were the bass tapping parts (where only the bass plays) and the really high notes to solos. Possibly the most dissapointing show I have ever been to, and the live videos I have seen on youtube confirm this belief.

I enjoyed them when I saw them and the sound was pretty good too, especially considering the shithole of a venue I saw them at - although I have to admit that I spent the last 2 or 3 songs at the side of the stage just watching the drummer...
Muhammed's a bloody midget though, never realised just how much of a shortarse he was

Haha.. I noticed that too! He is really fucking short. Killer guitarist though!
What bands supported Necrophagist when you saw them?
Necro's drummer was amazing.. looks so young but damn.. he is intense!

It was the drummer playing pretty technical fills without even looking that impressed me most tbh, although I've not seen blasting like that since I saw Goratory.
That Viatrophy lot were the main support (and they were shit!) some local band that I can't remember the name of who were quite like Viatrophy but even shitter, a local bunch of Metallica worshippers who are good lads but not a particularly good band and my mates' band that I've seen so many times I've forgotten how many times I've seen them and spent most of their set heckling them for a laugh
Hardly an awe-inspiring line-up really... Necrophagist were really enjoyable though - and the bass player complimented me on my beard later on
