I wasn't a big fan them before but after listening to their new leaked album a couple of times I must say it rocks! Most of the songs are not all out metal but they are well written. When you hear a song like 'A little piece of Heaven' you know that this album is gonna be very diverse and indeed it is. Some songs even have country influence. The singing is a lot less annoying than their previous albums. The guitar harmonies and solos are also very tastefully done. All in all, i think it's a great album.

I don't know if i want to give this album a chance, i'll take a listen to some stuff one day. But im not really expecting much because i really don't like the band.

I've heard about 30 seconds of one song and that was more than enough if I'm honest.

+1, i try to keep open minded about my music but with avenged sevenfold i expect i won't like it , might give it a listen though

I always get people saying "oooh but listen to this riff here" damn that bores me.........ive just heard way too many metal bands do it. And well i guess that makes me hate them more the way i get their music forced down my ears when i don't want to hear it.

I hate this band. Ive downloaded the new album coz some of my friends liked it but they like a lot of crap. The new album sucks IMO

Haha i bought their album yesterday. I was reading on the EmptyWords website that the second one will be released one day because i think Chuck had got it all done before he died. I think a box set of all the unreleased demos with Chucks stuff on should be release, because there would be a lot. And the second Control Denied album will be called When Man And Machine Collide .
But to get back on topic, Avenged suck. Ive heard the new stuff............and i hate it.

Dude.. you heard Zero Tolerance albums? Got some of the old Death demos and some of the Control Denied songs (off When Machine And Man Collide but with no song names or vocals). Something to get definetly

Just because it has country influence doesnt mean its good. Look at what it did for Kid Rock, now almost all of his old fanbase hate him. Bad move on A7X's part. (waits for people to post "KID rOCK SUXxoRs!!!1!1!11 Hes GHEY) A7X's last album was a mess, with random harmonized guitar filler that doesnt fit in with the songs at all. As far as im concerned, i doubt it would be any different.

I'm happy to listen to anything. But A7X and FOB top my list of bands to shoot on sight.
