I usually don't associate that word with a creative subject like music as if there was a textbook for music it'd be very pointless and boring.

I for one am ready for an atmospheric, melodic Mastodon record influenced by astrophysics, space, and time travel. I only hope they retain a fair amount of heavy vocals and riffing.
