ah, i understand now. usually the phrase 'textbook' comes up in sports like football where one does something perfectly, like an example off a textbook. I usually don't associate that word with a creative subject like music as if there was a textbook for music it'd be very pointless and boring. |

They were playing a few riffs on this video interview with Brent, and it sounds fucking great. I for one am ready for an atmospheric, melodic Mastodon record influenced by astrophysics, space, and time travel. I only hope they retain a fair amount of heavy vocals and riffing. |

Take their covers of songs like One and Emerald as an example of how Mastodon will probably sound on this record. So, fucking BRILLIANT. |

Fair enough, though I guess if this is the air element, by logic, Mastodon are finished after this album. Unless they write one about Mila Jovavic and Bruce Willis. |
