QUOTE(Madden @ Oct 31 2008, 06:20 PM) Fair enough, though I guess if this is the air element, by logic, Mastodon are finished after this album. Unless they write one about Mila Jovavic and Bruce Willis.
They've already said that they won't be focused on air because it felt like a creative inhibitor.

I'd like to hear Brent screeching whilst playing an immense riff for a song about dust spores implanting in our brains and driving us all mad.

They are going to, in the future, release a box set called The Elements. probably on vinyl.... i hope so anyway.

Well, if they aren't going to do an air element album, then I doubt it.
I'm fucking shitting my pants in anticipation of this album...

They are doing that boxset at some stage. Brann has mentioned it a few times on the Mastodon forum and people have been asking the band. So whenever they are done with elements we can hope for something cool.

50 minutes. 7 songs. This means MASTODON WITH LONGER SONGS!
If they would only put their cover of The Bit on there it would be the best record ever.

Yeh their cover of The Bit is pretty good. But im not too sure if this is one to be released with extras and stuff. Its gonna be epic. They always release 100 clear vinyls of everything they do so when the release date it ill have to sit n wait for em to come on sale because ill be having a nice clear vinyl. Or double vinyl i should say. Lifesblood was even done on double clear vinyl.

Demos of Divinations and Ghost of Kharelia (and I think there's another song) are up on youtube.

Ghost sounds awesome. The vocals are sort of badly produced on both of them, too thin and quiet in my opinion, and not enough harsh vocals, but see what y'all think.
Starting to want to hear this album badly now. Especially since there's a four-part prog suite on there! But I wish they'd go back to the level of heaviness on Remission Blood Mountain was about the line for adding melody, they found a great mix there, and I don't want this record to be too light...

The songs were awesome. I really liked ghost of karillah. I hope they don't completly take off the harsh vocals though.

There was another live song aired at this show. Two others were also meant to be aired so nobody knows for definate if thats the song titles right there. But depending if people guessed right, two of the songs played live have different titles and wont be on the album. Divinations is the only definate title there for the live songs. Ghost of... could well be another song, same with one they played which has been titled Oblivion by guessing fans.
Its because a setlist from the show was throw out. Divinations was announced, cool we know that. Then later down the set just 2 new songs were meant to be played and they only did one and neither had song titles announced. And then the same happened with the very end of the set, they only did one when two were meant to be played. But i know for certain one that was meant to be played was scrapped.
