haha I thought that was going to be an Orion rip off from the first few bars but I really like what you've done. It kind of reminds me of Dissection (not sure though- I've only heard one album by them once) with its dark but melodic blackish metal feel.
I think that with bm vocals this would be awesome.

It seemed to go on longer than it actually did.

Awesome, i can do Black Metal vocals so ill have a go. I like trying something different like that, reminds me of The Ocean a bit. Thanks for listening man.

Nice, I really like the beat to it. It's got a rhythm that just sort of carries you along, you're not sitting there thinking "nice...Get to the good part" you know? then when it goes into the second section it has a different feel, with the higher palm muted parts, intense and epic, heh. I like it. Well done!
