Your a prat... Your exactly the reason Metal is a fucked up Genre. People who listen to it get upset when a band does well...This is brilliant news for Trivium and Metal in general, this and the fact Lamb of God got to number 8 in the states just shows more people are getting into Metal...and decent Metal at that, we should all be fuckin' happy.

I'm a prat? Haha, no man.
Your the prat for not being able to accept that i'm teling it as it is.

Trivium did change their style(ish) the thing is they did it for them, the fans and the music not for the chart position.. If theyre 'new style' gets them into the top ten albums chart then surely it cant be a bad thing for the bad we all (large majority) like and support.. I personaly think its great news.

Mainstream is good...for some bands...
like Trivium.
It gives them a chance to get noticed and become more successful..

All the people who thought it was hardcore and OMG to stop liking Trivium over the screaming shit must be feeling some severe pain in their bollocks right now. 8)
How awesome of them to jump off the Trivium bandwagon just as it pwns the shit out of everyone.

Trivium -----------> You and your band and every other band out there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Emu .... or something. :

I agree with Skotyb, thats the reason why metal aint as big anymore. Once a metal band isnt 'underground' anymore, they 'sell out' and loads people stop buying the records

This doesn't seem to be the case with Trivium though. 8) They're just too awesome, other bands just can't handle teh pwnage.

Plus most people who drop a band over that are all "ZOMG I MUST BE UBER AWESOME, I WILL FIND A BAND NO ONE ELSE KNOWS ABOUT, AND THEN I'LL BE SO PWNAGE, CAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL KNOW THEM."
I just establish I'm a bigger fan and I've liked the band since the start. Anyone who argues the point with me is a waste of time, the second I ask them to gimme some lyrics or something their stumped.
I love the ones who're trying to be all like "OMG IM THE ONLY TRIVIUM FAN LOL!" and then you ask them the first single, and they say Pull harder.
Priceless little giggle is that.

People who say they have become sell outs and are mainstream for getting a high position album obviously have their head up their asses to realise some landmark metal albums have done really well in the charts.
Iron Maiden's The Number of the Beast was a Number 1 album. A classic album.
The fact that a metal album like this (with even the small amount of screaming on it) shows that metal is once again back on the rise in the general public conscience. And thank fuck it aint nu-metal again (or O my.. this aint even metalcore thats reached this far!).
Trivium are flying the flag for Metal. May their world domination be swift and heavy like an hammer on the world of music!
