Alters of Madness is pretty much an amazing album! They arent as good after that album from what i have heard. the second album may be good though. The production was amazing on that album and it just sold it to me. Pure old school riffs with that old school sound. WIN!

The first four albums are classics. Covenant has an amazing (and completely untriggered) drum sound.

DEMOLITION HAMMER! (Guess you could say they are a thrash band, but if Possessed is a thrash/death metal band, then Demolition Hammer certainly are )
SOLSTICE! Rob Barrett's band before Malevolent Creation, speaking of which, MALEVOLENT CREATION!!

No you guys havent The Prof might have been into it for ages, but you guys have been into it for a year or two at most.
Now what are you guys refering to when you say Old School Death Metal, just any old Death Metal band or bands in the Entombed/Autopsy vein, which is what i consider Old School Death Metal.

November 17, 2008 5:50:49 PM UTC Post #20

Mostly the Tampa bands or early generation DM bands.
