Pay to prove my loyalty?
September 16, 2009 1:57:17 AM UTC Post #1

ok, so theirs this new fan forum, triviumworld.com it cost 21 euro to join apparently!!
is this an official site??....
why should i have to pay to join a message board?... i prove my loyalty to the band and support them by buying merchandise, albums, singles, whatever, but i dont think its right to take advantage of people by making them pay to join a forum!!
im actually disgusted i cant join, (i wont let myself join), id just like to see whats so great that i'd have to pay to join!

Its official you get stuff and a dvd and to meet the band and all that crap, i aint on it yet but i will be joining, its nothing to do with paying for loyalty at all, a fan can be loyal to trivium in anyway.

I dont remember having to pay to use those boards. I just used the site for live videos. $30 is too much for a forum. Its practically Metallicaesque! I dont care what band you are, i will not pay $78 to join a fucking fan club!

but since its just an ordinary website with a few extra chances to meet em or watever... ur basically payiing to get all the "free" things
and the meet n greet things... if u wanna meet them go to a schedueled one for free, i aint paying to join
or even go and wait for them at a venue

The way most fan clubs work is like this...
You pay money and get lots of cool/special stuff that the ordinary man will not get.You will get a dvd with footage of material never released before,as well as things like DEMOS of new material, pictures, videos, etc. that no one else will see.If you think it's unfair, then don't join,it's as easy as that. You can show your loyalty to them in many ways, and this is a new way that you can show your loyalty,as well as get tons of cool stuff that no one else will see/get.

You don't wanna pay money, don't whinge about it. If you are whinging, to me thats saying you actually want to join but don't want to cough up the money.
I joined - one of the firsts - and am very happy. It's obvious we are going to have a lot more contact and stuff from the guys themselves then we would on here. And it's not just messageboards, who told you that? Sure there are messageboards, which are still getting off the ground but we are having a lot of fun.
The membership pack includes a members only DVD which will have a lot of never-before seen stuff, stencil, an autographed photo etc. The DVD alone would be worth a fair bit in stores.
And the contests are not just chances to meet the guys at concerts - there will be chances to meet the guys at BBQs, spend time with them playing video games etc. There's exclusive photos, videos and phone messages.
Now I am not the richest person in the world - I struggle every day like a lot of other people here - but to me I don't give a damn if I push myself for this band. Some might say it's stupid, but to me this band means more to me then a lot of people will ever know.
Fuck $30.
Give me Trivium. I love them to bits and they deserve every dollar I can send their way.

maybe we dont have $30 to spend, especially on summat like a fan club... why wud i wanna pay to have a slight possibility to play a video game with em
i mean when u actually meet them and have a barbecue with them i will agree with all ur points but not until that moment

I don't have $30 either. I have a credit card that is so close to it's limit I'm nearly in debt. Actually, who am I kidding, I am in debt.
