Labrie is such a bad singer. The guy may have perfect pitch, no doubt, his range however is not that great. He can do alot in the upper reaches, but nothing lower. His vocal lines are uninspired, oh and, Russell Allen destroys EVERY bit of Labrie on the vocal level. Totally. Thats the one thing that lacks in DT's music is Labries vocals. He has no power. Go see SX live, and hear Allen WAIL and then compare it to Labries non existent presence on the microphone. He is quite possible one of the most useless vocalists in music. Except on Octavarium. I will give him that, he did a GREAT job on Octa. Everything else hwoever, was lackluster in comparison to what the rest of the band managed to do. |
