I've been waiting for this guitar for 2 1/2 years.I used to help run the slipknot1 site as well as a fan site called www.pulseofthemaggots.com,so I've kept up closely with Jim since 2004.He's been telling me about this guitar since ozzfest, and I'm excited that it has finally come to life.

Mahogony bodies
rock maple necks
ebony on the white one and maple for the matte black model
70's telecaster headstock
Emg 81 and 60
One volume,3 way switch-lowered
One humbucker ring
NO SLIPKNOT OR STONE SOUR MARKINGS ON IT
Just his signature on the back of the headstock
He is saying it should be around $800-$900
I LOVE telecasters,so this will def. be my next fiddle of choice
Summer 2007......

lol im joking i dont really care but i dislike when guitarists say' i can shred but i never bother, anyone can sound like van halen, i just like restraint'
that was actually fallout boy in total guitar so now i must attack the lead singer and beat him to death with his own shoes.
jim root never said he was a killer guitar shredder, dmjs5 is just saying that he is better than he seems, i personally like vol 3 and some stone sour, i think he is a good musican, i can't always listen to shred, but then again maybe i could. there are a lot of great players that you would never have known they were shreders until you saw them do it, john 5 w/manson - hes a killer player, mark tremonti- creed blows, but he could shred, , both good guitarists.
music is all taste, some people like it some don't, like shawn lane great guitarist, sad story but i don't care his music very much, he has a couple of good songs, but nowhere near the music catalog of say jason , or marty etc.

^lol.
Some people bust out some crazy rhythm stuff and can also do more intricate solos and playing. Jeff Loomis writes some awesome riffs for Nevermore, but also can bust out ridiculous solos. Think all that Rusty Cooley can do is shred? He lays down a lot of rhythm for Outworld. My guitar teacher's band, While Heaven Wept, is a doom band, and he can shred like a motherfucker. But he just plays mostly slow stuff for his band. And I don't care if it's pointy. I own an Ibanez Universe, that thing isn't anything insane-looking. It's a superstrat body, and plays great. Anywho, Mick is just an average guitarist laying down some underaverage tunes and getting paid big bucks and receiving his own signature guitar. Some will buy it, some won't.
