Pinch Harmonics.

Yeah, lots of gain is bad. I concur. Less gain actually helps you to cut a bit more in a sense, cause too much gain just kinda blurs all your notes together in chords and etc.

the only reason people ever have the gain on 10 is to cover up bad techique and mistakes.
and yeh, pinch harmonics can be done without gain. i do them all of the time when i'm playing my accoustic and it sounds just as good as on my electric with humbuckers and my gain set to 7

QUOTE(Carnage)QUOTE(Madden)Me and my buddy were making his Yamaha scream today like Zakk Wylde. It has the worst humbuckers in the universe on it. Its all about the technique and consistency.
LOL
my best friend used to have a Yamaha (he has a ESP now), i think it was the worst guitar i have ever played.
Actually Yamaha makes some great guitars. Some very good guitars, especially for their price range. They get overlooked osmetimes because of their other products, but they make great instruments.

They are good value purely as a starting guitar, but as soon as you can afford it, ditch that shit.
Even beyond a starting guitar, they make great instruments i the higher price range. And I would take a Yamaha over an "ESP OMG!!11" any day.
