Question on Vocals...

Posts: 23 Member #: 12,783 Joined: 09/16/2009	Ok so my metal band, Thirteenth Order just decided that I will sing for them since we had no luck finding a good singer. So I made this recording... It seems like the vocals get better as the song progresses... I know its not great (the vocals, i mean) so how could I improve? Also keep in mind I'm fifteen and my voice isn't done changing. www.myspace.com/thirteenthorder ------> Click on "Saving My Mind"... the other song doesnt have vocals. Any other comments relating to anything else on the site appreciated as well. Thanks

Posts: 659 Member #: 12,980 Joined: 09/16/2009	The vocals aren't bad, you won't come into your own until your voice breaks, like MAdden said. But work on your guitar tone! AHH!! So much messy fuzz . Turn the gain back a bit.

I didn't like the tone either. I wanted to mic the amps, but he insisted on plugging into the mixer. And that made it impossible to get the tone I wanted. :?

I did one recording where someone else did it their way,and ahve NEVER let anyone do it again. Its impossible to get your tone from someone else. That really sucks. Fire his ass.

And the song that there is no vocals on right now is one of our most recent songs. Or are you just saying its better simply because there are no vocals? Lol.
