He was found guilty over his role in the killing of 148 people in the mainly Shia town of Dujail in 1982. His co-defendant former judge Awad Hamed al-Bander was also sentenced to death. Posts: 1998 Member #: 11,430 Joined: 09/15/2009	I don't think he should be tortured for the rest of his life - thats stooping down to his level - but I think that being locked up for life in a high security prison with no chance of ever being released is a worse punishment than hanging. Though there is no way that he'd ever last the full sentence in an Iraqi prison without being broken out, so death is a more realistic sentence.

While I would like to see the bastard being tortured, I'll just have to make do with the fact he'll be hanging from a rope instead. Any dates yet?

It's simply a relic from a bygone age that the masses can use as an outlet for their superimposed hatred of an individual. Saying that, I hope they televise it.
